Job summary

Epping Boys High School invites applications for Head Teacher Technological and Applied Studies (TAS). You will lead curriculum development, assessment, and student welfare, guiding teachers to enhance engagement and achievement across TAS subjects.

The role requires strong educational leadership, collaborative planning with the leadership team, and effective management of TAS facilities to ensure safe, high-quality practical teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
• Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
• Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy

Responsibilities

• Lead and design high-quality inclusive teaching and learning programs across TAS
• Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment and student welfare for Stage 6 TAS courses
• Collaborate with school leadership to drive school improvement under the Strategic Excellence Plan
• Manage specialist TAS facilities, equipment and resources, and uphold safe workshop practices
