St Andrew's Cathedral School in Sydney seeks an outstanding educational leader to join our Secondary School as Head of Department - TAS (Technological and Applied Studies), commencing Term 1 2027. This is a full-time, permanent appointment with a focus on curriculum innovation, student achievement and staff development.

The successful candidate will lead a TAS team, drive curriculum development, ensure high-quality teaching across senior TAS subjects and uphold the School's Christian ethos while

Formación

• Experienced in leadership in curriculum development and implementation of syllabus.
• Enthusiastic about TAS, with the ability to inspire secondary age students.
• Flexible in working with a range of student abilities.
• Knowledgeable of recent developments in the theory and practice of senior secondary pedagogy and specifically how this applies to TAS.
• Outstanding in interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider TAS Team.
• Confident in the use of technology to enhance learning.
• Understanding of and having a commitment to the School’s Christian mission, values, and ethos.

• Leading and inspiring a team of TAS teachers to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
• Driving curriculum development and continuous improvement across the faculty.
• Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
• Faculty planning, budgeting, assessment and reporting processes.
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements across specialist TAS facilities and learning environments.
• Supporting the School's strategic priorities and commitment to educational excellence
