Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a Head Teacher to lead whole-school teaching initiatives and collaborate with the executive team, staff and community. You will oversee curriculum areas, drive literacy and numeracy improvements, and ensure culturally responsive programs in a diverse rural high school environment.

The role requires educational leadership, strong communication, data interpretation skills, and the ability to plan and manage resources effectively.

Qualifications

• Capable to lead HSIE and CAPA and implement culturally responsive teaching across a diverse rural high school.
• Experience in educational leadership and capacity to drive whole-school teaching initiatives.
• Ability to interpret data to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead combined HSIE and CAPA programs and support staff to implement inclusive teaching practices.
• Interpret data to lead development and evaluation of school initiatives improving student outcomes.
• Plan and manage resources to support teaching and learning.
