Job summary

Falls Creek Alpine Resort is seeking a Head of Visitor Experience (Maternity Cover) to shape how thousands of visitors connect with the alpine environment. This fast-paced leadership role will set the strategic direction for visitor engagement, lead a passionate team, and drive marketing and visitor programs to sustain year-round visitation.

You will collaborate with the General Manager and key partners to deliver bold initiatives that strengthen the resort’s profile and enhance the visitor

Qualifications

• Degree in marketing, tourism or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in destination tourism or marketing, including team leadership.
• Experience writing grant funding applications.
• Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen.
• Proven project management capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Working with Children Check and driver's licence.
• Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated visitor programs to boost awareness, demand and engagement.
• Activate commercial and industry opportunities with partnerships.
• Oversee visitor operations and frontline services.
• Deliver resort campaigns that amplify alpine identity year-round.
• Drive cross-team collaboration with ARV, government, and industry partners.
• Manage event budgets and sponsorships.
• Provide strategic advice and reporting to the General Manager.
• Champion leadership and staff development.
