Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or closely related field.
• Must hold PNG Metalliferous Mine Manager's CoC or be eligible to obtain.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 10 years of underground mining experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience leading underground mining operations within remote FIFO environments.
• Knowledge of narrow-vein underground mining methods.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for underground mining operations including mine development, production, ground support, ventilation, and services.
• Collaborate with Technical Services and Geology to develop and execute mine plans.
• Ensure compliance with mining legislation and safety standards.
• Manage budgets, costs, and capital expenditure planning.
• Oversee contractor performance and safety requirements.
• Develop and mentor Mining Supervisors and Engineers.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Foster collaboration across mine operations and support functions.
