Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of underground mining experience with 5+ in senior roles, PNG CoC eligibility, and proven FIFO leadership in narrow-vein mining with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or closely related field.
• Must hold PNG Metalliferous Mine Manager's CoC or be eligible to obtain one.
• 10+ years underground mining experience with 5+ years in senior leadership roles such as Mine Manager or Head of Mining.
• Proven experience leading underground mining operations in remote FIFO environments.
• Strong knowledge of narrow-vein mining methods, mine planning, production scheduling, ground support, and ventilation.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, and operational planning capabilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for underground mining operations, including development, production, ground support, ventilation, and services.
• Collaborate with Technical Services and Geology to align mine plans with production targets.
• Ensure compliance with mining legislation and safety management systems.
• Manage budgets, costs, and capital expenditure planning.
• Oversee contractor performance and safety requirements.
• Mentor and develop senior mining staff and supervisors.
• Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster collaboration across mine operations and support functions.
