Job summary

Linktal Recruitment in Sydney is seeking a General Manager, Trustees to lead the Trustee relationship management function and shape the strategic direction for client onboarding, retention and service quality.

The role reports to the Managing Director and offers responsibility for financial performance, risk oversight and governance for registered and unregistered managed schemes within a global fund services group.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in fund/asset management or a similar financial services role.

Responsibilities

Head of Trustee Services/Responsible Manager

An established and fast-growing specialist financial services provider — delivering trustee, custody, debt capital markets and fund administration services to institutional and wholesale clients — is seeking an experienced General Manager, Trustees to lead its Trustee relationship management function.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of the Trustee relationship management function end-to-end — from strategic direction and client retention through to operational delivery, financial performance and risk oversight. You'll act as the senior subject matter expert on registered and unregistered managed investment schemes and trustee obligations, and be the face of the business for key clients, fund managers and industry stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Setting strategic direction for client onboarding, retention and service quality across the Trustee portfolio
• Leading, mentoring and developing a relationship management team, embedding ownership and risk awareness

What we're looking for

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, with 5+ years' experience in fund management, asset management or a similar financial services role
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance within funds management
• Proven leadership track record with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strategic, analytical thinker, comfortable working with financial software and data analysis tools
