Job summary

CSC in Australia (Sydney) seeks a custody operations professional to support trustee and custody services for wholesale fund managers. You will review, coordinate and deliver timely custody services for a portfolio of funds while liaising with banks and maintaining custody documentation.

The role requires 4 years in payments/back office or fund operations, a degree in business/legal/accounting, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in payments, back office or fund operations is required.
• Degree in business, law or accounting preferred.
• Understanding of the role of a Trustee and client-management experience helps.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with multiple banks and assist with opening/closing bank accounts, AML/KYC and related matters.
• Review instructions and set up payments for capital calls, distributions and fund expenses.
• Perform bank account reconciliations and maintain custody documentation.
• Assist with document execution and maintenance of document registers.
• Set up, maintain and report on Asset Registers and Safe Custody documents.
• Adhere to custody policies and procedures and support system/process improvements.
• Handle client interactions and resolve queries, building strong relationships.
• Participate in projects and ad hoc duties as required.

Job description

You will be joining the growing Corporate Trustee Team who are currently providing trustee and custody services to wholesale managed investment schemes.

The primary function of this role will be to review, coordinate and deliver the provision of timely and accurate custody services for a portfolio of funds on behalf of third-party fund managers.

Your Responsibilities

• Liaison with multiple banks – assist with all key steps involved in the opening and closure of bank accounts (including form completion, AML and KYC) and any other bank related matters
• Payments – review proper instructions and set up payments for items such as capital calls, distributions and fund expenses.
• Bank account reconciliations
• Document Custody – assistance with document execution and maintenance of document registers
• Set up, maintenance and reporting of Asset Registers and Safe Custody Document reports
• Maintain and adhere to custody policies and procedures
• Participate in ongoing automation and improvement of systems and processes
• Handling client interactions and resolving queries with a focus on relationship building
• Involvement in projects and other ad hoc duties as required

Your Profile

• 4 years’ experience in a Payments, Back Office or Fund Operations role
• Relevant qualification – preferably degree qualified in business, legal or accounting
• Understanding of the role of a Trustee
• Client management skills and relationship management experience
• Works well under pressure, delivers results and meets customer expectations
• Works collaboratively and enjoys working in a team
• Self-starter with good planning and organisational skills
• Highly principled and able to resolve issues
• Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
• Good verbal and written communication skills
