Job summary

MUFG Pension & Market Services in Sydney, NSW seeks a Head of Transformation to shape and lead an integrated portfolio of strategic initiatives across its global business. You will partner with the CEO and executives to drive governance, performance disciplines and benefits realisation across technology, data, AI and operating model levers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and senior global leaders to identify, shape and prioritise transformation initiatives aligned to business strategy.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear transformation plans, business cases, delivery roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Establish and maintain an integrated global transformation roadmap covering priorities, dependencies, milestones, risks, resources, investment and benefits.
• Lead transformation portfolio governance, executive reporting and decision-making across a complex and diverse portfolio of initiatives.
• Drive alignment and remove barriers across business, technology, operations, risk, legal, finance and people functions to maintain momentum and achieve outcomes.
• Build and mature transformation and project delivery capability, including fit-for-purpose frameworks, standards, tools, governance, reporting and delivery disciplines.
• Identify and mobilise opportunities across process improvement, technology, data, AI, automation and operating model transformation.
• Establish strong benefits realisation and performance measurement disciplines to ensure transformation investment delivers tangible business value.
• Lead and develop a globally distributed transformation and delivery team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and practical execution.

Lead a global transformation agenda that turns strategy into measurable business outcomes.

MUFG Corporate Markets is seeking an experienced Head of Transformation to shape and lead an integrated portfolio of strategic transformation initiatives across its global business.

Working closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders globally, you will translate business priorities into a clear transformation strategy and roadmap, leading execution across business transformation, operating model, technology, data, AI and automation.

This is a senior leadership role for a pragmatic transformation leader who combines strategic judgement with a strong track record of delivery. You will bring transformation activity together into a single, prioritised global roadmap, strengthen portfolio governance and build the capability, disciplines and delivery frameworks needed to achieve measurable business outcomes.

What you will be responsible for

What you will bring

You will be an experienced transformation leader with a strong track record of leading enterprise-scale transformation and delivering measurable business outcomes in a complex organisation.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience leading enterprise transformation, transformation portfolios, or business change in a complex global or regulated environment.
• A demonstrable track record of delivering transformation outcomes, with clear ownership of execution, delivery and results.
• Proven ability to partner with CEOs, executive teams and senior stakeholders to translate strategy into prioritised, executable transformation plans.
• Strong understanding of technology-enabled transformation and the practical application of process, data, AI, automation and operating model levers.
• Experience establishing and leading portfolio governance, executive reporting, delivery rhythms and benefits realisation disciplines.
• Experience building, developing or maturing transformation, project or program delivery frameworks and capability.
• Strong commercial judgement, resilience and confidence navigating ambiguity, competing priorities and organisational complexity.
• Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across regions and functions.
• Strong people leadership capability and a collaborative approach to leading globally distributed teams.

Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry is highly desirable. However, candidates from other sectors with directly relevant enterprise-scale transformation experience are encouraged to apply.

As this role supports a global business, you will need the flexibility to attend meetings across time zones and travel when required. This may involve working outside standard local business hours at times.
