Job summary

Latrobe City Council seeks a Manager Sustainability and Environment to lead the Sustainability and Environment Department, including Emergency Management and related functions, to drive strategies delivering a sustainable future for Latrobe City.

You will work with the Executive Leadership Team, Councillors, government agencies, and community organisations to deliver strategic outcomes while guiding a growing team through innovation and change.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of emergency management, environment, landfill and sustainability services.
• Strong project management and documentation skills.
• Ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build partnerships.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and delivery of programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Latrobe City Council's Sustainability and Environment Department.
• Develop and deliver long-term strategies aligned with community vision.
• Provide expert strategic advice to executive leadership on environmental matters.
• Drive organisational performance through financial management and project delivery.
• Build partnerships with government, industry, and community stakeholders.
