Job summary

Oasis Partners in Sydney, Australia, seeks a client-facing strategic advisor who leads owners of mid-sized businesses through fixed-scope engagements—diagnosing current position and delivering right-sized recommendations for growth, succession, or exit readiness.

The role splits 70/30 between leading engagements and directing the digital marketing function as a project, plus contributing to internal AI and productivity initiatives. You will sit in the Leadership Group from day one.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or advisory work.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and corporate documents.
• Confident communicator able to present to business owners.
• Self-starter able to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency with AI tools, MS365, Salesforce and WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Lead client strategy projects end-to-end from onboarding to reporting.
• Develop the Strategy Practice proposition, frameworks and pricing.
• Translate the firm’s 5-year strategy into a measurable marketing plan.
• Support change management and data governance improvements for marketing and AI initiatives.

Job description

This is a client-facing strategic advisory role where approximately 70% of your time will be spent serving and leading owners of businesses generating $5M~$150M in revenue through short, sharp, fixed-scope strategic engagements: diagnosing where a business stands across core pillars and what needs to happen next - whether that's growth, succession planning, or exit readiness (feeding Oasis' sell-side advisory pipeline).

You will scope the brief, run the engagement, and deliver a clear, right-sized recommendation. The remaining 30% of your time is split between leading the digital marketing function as a defined project (setting direction and commissioning specialists, not doing every task yourself) and contributing to internal AI and productivity initiatives.

You will sit in the Leadership Group from day one.

Key responsibilities

Lead client strategy projects end-to-end through BD (where required), Onboarding, Analysis, Workshop Hosting, and Reporting

Lead the evolution of the Strategy Practice including the client proposition for the BD process, approach and frameworks, strategy product development, fee structures, and AI tooling

Translate the firm's 5-year strategy into a clear, measurable marketing plan which leverages the rich CRM database, and hold the plan and its delivery partners to account

Support internal change management initiatives in support of improving internal data governance for marketing purposes and embedding AI-driven processes into ways of working

About you

Capable: Proven experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or advisory work, consulting directly to business owners and/or executive boards

Financially fluent: comfort analysing and interpreting Financial Statements and Corporate Documents of mid-sized businesses

Confident communicator: able to present recommendations directly to owners of mid-sized businesses

Self-starter: comfortable running several concurrent workstreams with minimal oversight

Tech fluent: self-sufficient across AI tools, all MS365 applications, Salesforce, and WordPress

Bonus: exposure to M&A, transaction advisory, or midmarket businesses
