Job summary

IAG is seeking a Manager, Solution Architect to lead a team shaping technology across our Retail Technology landscape. You will provide both people and architecture leadership, delivering scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.

Based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane, you will influence architecture decisions, guide trade-offs, and strengthen agile delivery while embracing AI-enabled ways of working to enhance outcomes for customers and employees.

Qualifications

• Significant Solution Architecture experience in a complex enterprise environment, ideally within insurance/financial services.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or managing Solution Architects and senior technology professionals.
• Strong architecture expertise spanning solution design, integration patterns, data flows, non-functional requirements, risk, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solution Architects to build capability and a high-performing culture.
• Provide architecture leadership across Retail Technology portfolios and ensure coherent, secure solutions.
• Guide teams through trade-offs, integrations, data flows, and non-functional requirements.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate strategy into pragmatic technology outcomes.
• Bridge Enterprise Architecture and delivery, guiding roadmaps and guardrails.
• Advance architecture practices with reusable patterns and AI-enabled approaches.
