Job summary

Westpac Banking Corporation is seeking a Head of Security, PNG, to lead the protective security function and shape the security strategy for Westpac PNG. You will help understand threats, strengthen preparedness and protect people and operations across workplaces, branches, ATMs, events and travel.

You will lead a specialist security team, advise senior leaders, and work closely with external security providers and law enforcement.

Qualifications

Deep experience in protective security gained through law enforcement, armed forces, corporate security or another relevant security environment.
Strong security risk judgement, including assessing emerging threats and turning intelligence into practical security decisions.
Experience leading people and security operations in complex environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the confidence to advise senior leaders and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Experience managing security suppliers, services and costs while maintaining effective security outcomes.

What’s the role?

As Head of Security, PNG, you’ll lead our protective security function and shape the security strategy for Westpac PNG. You’ll help us understand emerging threats, strengthen our preparedness and protect our people and operations across workplaces, branches, ATMs, events and travel.

You’ll lead a specialist security team, advise senior leaders and work closely with external security providers, law enforcement and other key partners. From planning for executive travel to responding when critical incidents occur, you’ll bring clear thinking, sound judgement and a strong focus on keeping people safe.

This role is offered as a two-year assignment based in Papua New Guinea, with a comprehensive assignee benefits package to support you during your time in PNG.

What do I need?
