The Public Transport Authority (PTA) invites applications for the role of Manager PTA Rail Safety Accreditation in Western Australia. This senior leadership position oversees the Rail Safety Accreditation and Rail Safety Management System, shaping safety culture and regulatory compliance across the rail network.

You will lead a team of safety professionals, partner with regulators and executives, and drive continuous improvement in safety assurance, audits, and governance to deliver safer

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety, risk, assurance, compliance or governance functions in a complex operational environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership with experience managing and motivating teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
• Experience delivering audit, assurance, continuous improvement and change initiatives.
• Analytical, problem-solving skills with pragmatic approach.
• Tertiary qualifications in safety, risk, engineering, business, law, governance, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety management and accreditation frameworks.
• Provide expert advice on safety governance, regulatory compliance, risk.
• Build relationships with regulators and stakeholders to manage accreditation obligations.
• Oversee safety audits, reviews and investigations.
• Lead and develop a team of safety professionals.
• Embed safety considerations into major projects and programs.
• Monitor risks and regulatory changes to strengthen safety performance.
