Job summary

Retail Zoo Pty Ltd. in Melbourne is seeking a strategic Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to shape and lead procurement and supply chain strategy for its multi-brand portfolio.

You will drive commercial performance, negotiate with suppliers, and build a high-performing team across ingredients, packaging, logistics and indirect spend. Reporting to the CEO and working with the executive team and boards, you will translate strategy into measurable outcomes, optimise costs, and safeguard supply

Qualifications

• Extensive procurement and/or supply chain experience with senior leadership exposure.
• Proven track record in delivering measurable commercial outcomes through procurement strategies.
• Strong experience in sourcing, negotiations, category management and contracts.
• Experience leading teams and driving organizational change.
• Excellent commercial acumen balancing cost, quality, service and risk.
• Ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and boards.
• Experience in QSR, FMCG, retail or multi-site franchises preferred.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, procurement or related field.

We're now seeking an experienced Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to shape and lead our procurement and supply chain strategy, driving commercial performance and supporting the continued growth of our iconic brands.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll lead the end-to-end function across our multi-brand, company-owned and franchised network. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you'll drive strategic initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships and lead a high-performing team to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the group's procurement and supply chain strategy, aligning commercial priorities with business objectives and future growth.

Lead strategic sourcing and category management across ingredients, packaging, logistics, equipment, facilities and indirect spend.

Drive commercial negotiations, supplier partnerships and contract management to deliver sustainable value and improved business performance.

Identify and deliver cost optimisation initiatives, balancing commercial outcomes with quality, service and supply continuity.

Oversee supply chain planning, forecasting, inventory management and distribution performance across the network.

Strengthen procurement governance, supplier risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Partner with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board, providing strategic insights, commercial recommendations and performance reporting.

Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team, building capability and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Our perfect candidate will have

Extensive procurement and/or supply chain experience, including significant senior leadership experience within a complex organisation.

A proven track record in developing and implementing procurement strategies that deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

Strong experience across strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, category management and commercial contract management.

Demonstrated success leading teams, improving operational performance and driving organisational change.

Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance cost, quality, service and risk.

The confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders, including executive leadership teams and Boards.

Experience within QSR, FMCG, retail, hospitality or multi-site franchise environments will be highly regarded.

A relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, procurement, supply chain or a related discipline.
