ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Head of Procurement will own and lead the company’s procurement function, setting the strategy for how materials, goods, and services essential to the business are sourced and managed. Reporting to General Manager, you will build a procurement capability that delivers cost competitiveness, supply security, and quality, while supporting the company’s growth and its customers’ expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set direction, lead a team, and influence at executive level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Head of Procurement’s duties will include:

Procurement Strategy: Developing and executing a procurement strategy aligned with business objectives, covering cost, quality, risk, and growth.

Strategic Sourcing (local and overseas): Leading category and sourcing strategies across the supplier base, including global sourcing, to secure the best total value.

Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Building and governing long-term relationships with key suppliers, negotiating major contracts, and driving supplier performance, innovation, and collaboration.

Cost Optimisation: Setting and delivering savings targets and identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and total cost of ownership.

Supply Chain Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating supply risk, including supplier concentration, import exposure, currency, and continuity of supply.

Governance and Compliance: Establishing procurement policies, processes, and controls, and ensuring compliance with import obligations, quality standards, and ethical sourcing expectations.

Team Leadership: Leading, developing, and mentoring the procurement team, setting clear objectives and building capability.

Inventory and Supply Planning: Working with operations, sales, and finance to optimise stock levels, service levels, and working capital, and driving best-practice use of systems such as Netstock.

Quality and Operational Alignment: Partnering with quality, warehouse, and production teams to ensure purchased goods meet specification and are stored and handled correctly.

Reporting and Insights: Providing the executive team with spend analysis, cost analysis, and performance reporting to support commercial decisions and budgeting.

Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborating with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, sales, and product management to support new product and customer initiatives.

Market and Industry Insight: Monitoring market trends, commodity movements, and emerging suppliers, including through trade shows and exhibitions.

ABOUT YOU:

8+ years of procurement experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership role such as Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement.

Proven experience developing and delivering procurement strategy and leading a team.

Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing, supply chain, and contract management practices.

Extensive experience with importing and the related practices and obligations.

Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Netstock) and strong ERP exposure.

Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, MCIPS).

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

A senior leadership role with genuine influence over strategy and direction.
