Job summary

Salvado Catholic College in Byford, WA, is seeking a Head of Future Pathways to lead our college-wide program for career development and post-school transitions. Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education.
• Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or progress towards).
• Accreditation for Middle Leaders in a Catholic School (or progress towards).
• Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
• Current Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• The Head of Future Pathways will lead and coordinate the College's approach to career development, pathway planning and post-school transitions.
• Provide accurate, contemporary and comprehensive pathway advice to students and families.
• Support students to achieve successful transitions into further education, training or employment.
• Build productive partnerships with universities, TAFEs, employers, industry groups and community organisations.
• Ensure compliance with CEWA, SCSA and VET requirements; promote aspiration and informed decision-making across the College.

Role Outline

The Head of Future Pathways is a middle leadership position responsible for leading and coordinating the College's approach to career development, pathway planning and post-school transitions. The role provides leadership in ensuring students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, experiences and guidance required to make informed decisions about future education, training and employment opportunities.

The Head of Future Pathways works collaboratively with students, families, staff, tertiary institutions, industry partners and community organisations to promote a culture of aspiration, achievement and lifelong learning. The position plays a critical role in supporting students to identify and pursue pathway opportunities that align with their interests, strengths, values and goals.

The Head Of Future Pathways Provides Strategic Leadership For Pathway Planning, Career Development And Transition Programs Across The College And Is Accountable For

• the development, implementation and evaluation of the College's Future Pathways Program;
• the provision of accurate, contemporary and comprehensive pathway advice to students and families;
• supporting students to achieve successful transitions into further education, training or employment;
• building productive partnerships with universities, TAFEs, employers, industry groups and community organisations;
• ensuring compliance with CEWA, SCSA and VET requirements; and
