Job summary

ExecThread, Inc. is seeking a Head of Operational Risk for its Wealth & Value Chain to provide independent second-line oversight of non-financial and operational risks across the business.

The role requires a deep background in complex financial services, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while promoting a sustainable risk culture across end-to-end processes, controls, customer journeys, and interconnected risks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in financial services, with a focus on operational and non-financial risk.
• Background in complex financial services environments (value chain, wealth, or retail banking).
• Strong understanding of end-to-end processes, controls, customer journeys, and interconnected risks.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and demonstrate strong commercial judgment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent second-line oversight, challenge, and advice on non-financial and operational risks.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management across the value chain.
• Lead development of risk capability within the organization and governance reporting.
