Job summary

City of Tea Tree Gully is seeking a communications and marketing leader to direct a portfolio of marketing, communications, media, brand and digital channels, informing and engaging our community.

You will mentor a mid-sized team, provide strategic advice to the CEO and elected members, and help shape communication approaches while guiding major projects. Salary range is AU$111,846 to AU$118,917 plus superannuation and negotiable by skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Innovative and strategic communications leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to provide strategic advice to senior leaders and elected members.
• Experience managing budgets and external supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead Council's marketing, communications, media, brand and digital marketing functions.
• Provide strategic advice and support to senior leaders, the CEO, Mayor and Elected Members.
• Drive communication, engagement and marketing initiatives that support organisational priorities.
• Oversee media relations, reputation management and content across a range of channels.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of marketing and communications professionals.
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation and data-informed decision making.
• Manage budgets, resources and external supplier relationships.
