Job summary

Newman SHS, part of the Department of Education, is seeking a proactive leader to advance mathematics within a whole-school improvement framework. The role leads a cohesive Mathematics team, models best practice, and coaches staff to implement consistent assessment and curriculum approaches.

You will collaborate with staff and community partners to strengthen STEM opportunities for students, contributing to school priorities and high-quality teaching outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of whole-school priorities, including STEM focus.
• Lead and develop a cohesive Mathematics team through curriculum leadership and modelling effective practice.
• Coach colleagues and promote consistent approaches to teaching and assessment.
• Join a committed team at Newman SHS delivering positive student outcomes.
