Job summary

u&u Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced Head of IT in Melbourne to steer technology strategy, lead a capable IT function, and drive business transformation for a national consumer business. You will balance architecture with hands-on involvement and maintain close alignment with senior stakeholders.

You will set the technology roadmap, oversee ERP, e-commerce, CRM, data and risk management, and guide digital initiatives including AI, ensuring the tech environment meets commercial

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience across IT leadership and team management.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
• Exposure to e-commerce and CRM platforms, and an understanding of the business processes they support.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues in plain language.
• A practical, hands-on leadership style while retaining the ability to think strategically.
• Experience in a consumer-facing, retail, distribution, FMCG or sales-led environment will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver the technology roadmap in line with business priorities and regional direction.
• Lead and develop the IT team, creating clarity, accountability and a collaborative culture.
• Oversee enterprise applications, infrastructure, service delivery and technology operations.
• Guide digital transformation initiatives and assess emerging technologies, including AI.
• Provide oversight of ERP, e-commerce, CRM, data and related business applications.
• Manage technology projects, budgets, risks, vendors and external service partners.
• Maintain strong information security, risk management and business continuity practices.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and translate technical matters into clear business advice.
