Job summary

The Lodge Wadjemup on Wadjemup (Rottnest Island) invites a passionate hospitality leader to drive guest experiences and develop a high-performing team as we enter a growth phase.

Reporting to the board of Social Grounds Hospitality, you will lead operations across 109 rooms, dining and experiences, ensuring exceptional standards while managing budgets and growth strategies. A unique island role offers strong ownership and community involvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a senior hospitality leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing financial performance and budgets.
• Proven experience leading diverse teams across multiple departments.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• A track record of driving business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Drive a customer-focused culture and ensure exceptional guest experiences across all areas of the business.
• Lead, inspire, develop and mentor team members both operationally and culturally.
• Foster a positive workplace culture built on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Lead and role model safety, company values, policies and procedures through effective communication and engagement.
• Manage financial performance, budgets and business objectives to achieve sustainable growth.
• Ensure a strong connection to the island and uphold the values and vision of The Lodge Wadjemup.
• Identify and implement business improvement and growth opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, community groups, tourism partners and island operators.
• Work collaboratively with the Board to deliver strategic objectives and long-term success.
