Job summary

The Lodge Wadjemup on Rottnest Island seeks a reliable Full Time Assistant Property Operations Manager to oversee employee accommodation, facilities, and on-ground operations. You will manage preventative maintenance, coordinate contractors, and maintain compliance across housing and common areas.

Ideal candidates will have experience with asset registers, safety/compliance, and strong administrative skills, plus a White Card and valid Australian driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs, asset registers and statutory compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of electrical test and tagging requirements and associated compliance records.
• Experience managing contractors, including reviewing SWMS, permits, licences, insurances and site inductions.
• White Card, forklift licence and valid Australian driver’s licence, or ability to obtain relevant licences.
• Knowledge of pool plant operations, including pH and chlorine management, water testing and corrective actions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise maintenance issues based on safety and guest experience.
• Sound judgement on when maintenance can be completed internally versus by licensed contractors.
• Strong attention to detail, record keeping and workplace health and safety.
• Proactive, practical approach and ability to remain calm managing urgent issues in a busy hospitality environment.

As the Assistant Property Operations Manager, you will assist in the management of company-owned accommodation and facilities while delivering exceptional service to our team members. This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys administration as much as being out on the ground.

Key Responsibilities
