Job summary

Canberra Grammar School seeks an accomplished head to lead the Senior School's Inclusive Learning across Years 7–12. The role combines strategic direction with practical support for teachers and students, championing Universal Design for Learning and coordinated support for those with additional needs.

You will oversee the identification of learning needs, plan targeted and intensive supports, and ensure stretch for able learners within an inclusive framework.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary degree and a teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated high-level leadership, communication and stakeholder-management experience.
• Ability to lead universal, targeted and intensive support for diverse learners.
• Excellent written English and interpersonal communication.
• Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning and MTSS is required.
• Postgraduate qualification in inclusive education, learning support or gifted education.
• Experience with multi-tiered systems of support, learning plans and case management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Inclusive Learning team, building capability and shared commitment.
• Strengthen universal inclusive classroom practice using UDL and evidence.
• Oversee identification of learning needs and planning, delivery and review of support.
• Support individualised challenge across the ability range.
• Use evidence to evaluate impact and refine practice for better outcomes.
• Build partnerships that connect classroom teaching, specialist support and learning journeys.
