Glenmore State High School seeks a Head of Special Education Services to provide strategic and instructional leadership for students needing additional support. This temporary full-time role runs 21 January 2027 to 10 December 2027 and involves leading inclusive practices across Years 7–12.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality support and services through the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to meet the diverse needs of students with disability.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to school leaders, classroom teachers and staff to develop and implement effective reasonable adjustments, targeted teaching interventions and individualised support strategies.
• Coordinate case management and access to departmental and external specialist services, professional development and resources to support students requiring substantial or extensive adjustments.
• Implement and monitor school-wide systems, including data collection and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD), while contributing to school planning, decision-making and professional learning.
• Build collaborative partnerships with parents, government agencies and community groups, and effectively manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to improve student outcomes.
