Job description

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Head Of Human Resources.

Human Resources Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially minded executive to join a growing, privately owned consumer services organisation headquartered in North Sydney.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the executive leadership team, you will help shape the organisational structures, ways of working and leadership capability needed to enable the business's continued growth. The role will translate strategic priorities into practical outcomes, enhance organisational effectiveness and keep culture and employee engagement at the forefront as the organisation expands.

This is a broad, hands-on and dynamic leadership opportunity for someone who can move comfortably between enterprise-level priorities and detailed delivery. You will act as a trusted partner to the CEO, lead important organisational initiatives and guide the ongoing evolution of the people and culture agenda. Your remit will include organisational design, workforce planning, talent, performance, internal communications, change and governance. Supported by one direct report, you will put in place practical and sustainable foundations that strengthen accountability, enhance the employee experience and support business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shape and deliver a workforce strategy that supports the organisation's growth ambitions, future capability needs and the integration of potential acquisitions.
  • Work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to align organisational structure, workforce requirements and succession priorities with the broader business strategy.
  • Strengthen the organisation's approach to talent acquisition and workforce capability, ensuring it can attract, develop and retain the talent needed for continued growth.
  • Introduce effective performance, reward, recognition, onboarding and development practices that promote accountability, engagement and strong business outcomes.
  • Champion a values-led and high-performing culture while strengthening leadership capability across the organisation.
  • Oversee internal communications and change activity, keeping employees connected, informed and engaged as the business grows and evolves.
  • Lead and develop the people function, putting in place effective systems, processes, policies, reporting and governance.
  • Maintain oversight of employee relations and workplace compliance, ensuring the organisation meets its obligations and supports consistent people practices.
About You

You are a commercially astute leader with broad human resources experience who can combine strategic thinking with a practical, delivery-focused approach. You can build trust with a CEO and executive team, bring structure to evolving priorities and connect organisational, people and culture initiatives to growth and performance outcomes. You will thrive in a fast paced, dynmaic environment, which requires a hands-on, can-do approach.

You will likely bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience across people and culture, organisational development, and business transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience strengthening organisational structures, people practices, governance, reporting and systems implementation.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to build credibility and influence with senior stakeholders across operational and corporate functions.
  • A practical, hands-on approach, with the ability to balance strategic priorities with detailed execution.
  • A collaborative and adaptable leadership style, with the confidence to challenge thinking, lead change and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
