  • Opportunity to join us at an exciting time of growth and transformation
Position Summary

R.M.Williams has been crafting products built to go the distance since 1932. Today, our business reaches customers across Australia and around the world, and behind that growth is a distribution and logistics network that needs to be just as considered, resilient and ambitious as the products we make.

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Global Distribution & Logistics to lead and optimise our end-to-end distribution, fulfilment and logistics operations across our global network, based in Sydney or Adelaide.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a key leadership role with responsibility for driving operational excellence across warehousing, automation, freight, fulfilment and 3PL partnerships. You’ll bring consistency across regions, strengthen our supply chain resilience and build the capability, systems and partnerships needed to support our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

This is a broad leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape how our global distribution network operates today and into the future.

You’ll:

  • Lead distribution, fulfilment and logistics operations across multiple regions and sites.
  • Drive consistent standards across safety, service, compliance and operational performance.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight, carrier performance and global 3PL partnerships, balancing service, cost and commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with our Distribution Centre leadership to optimise warehouse automation, WMS/WCS performance, accuracy and data integrity.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement and network optimisation opportunities.
  • Build capability and alignment across multi-site teams and external partners.
  • Work closely with Retail, Wholesale, Digital, Technology, Product and Commercial teams to deliver shared business outcomes.
  • Strengthen supply chain resilience through effective planning, forecasting, risk management and scenario readiness.
  • Establish and govern meaningful global operational KPIs and performance reporting.
  • Lead change across the function, creating a culture where continuous improvement and operational excellence become part of how we work every day.
What you'll bring

You’ll be an experienced distribution and logistics leader who is equally comfortable setting the strategy and getting close enough to the operation to understand what will make it better.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Significant experience leading complex distribution, logistics and fulfilment operations, ideally across multiple regions or markets.
  • Strong experience across freight, carrier and 3PL management, including commercial, service and contract governance.
  • Experience working with WMS, WCS and automated warehouse environments.
  • A proven track record of delivering continuous improvement and network optimisation initiatives.
  • Strong people leadership experience across multi-site teams, with the ability to coach, develop and bring people through change.
  • The ability to build strong partnerships across commercial, product and technology functions.
  • Experience strengthening supply chain resilience through forecasting, planning and risk management.
  • Confidence defining and managing operational KPIs and translating performance data into action.
  • A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence qualifications would be highly regarded.
