Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia / Northern Territory is seeking a Head of Flight Operations based in Adelaide. You will lead all flight operations across South Australia and the Northern Territory, ensuring CASA compliance and high safety standards while guiding pilot workforce planning, training and performance management.

As a senior aviation leader, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to sustain safe aeromedical services in remote communities, at times

Qualifications

• Extensive senior aviation management experience with leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of aviation safety, quality and fatigue management systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage pilots and flight operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all flight operations across SA and NT.
• Ensure CASA compliance and internal procedures are met.
• Provide leadership in workforce planning, training and performance management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver safe aeromedical services.
• Participate in line flying and maintain operational currency.
