Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia / Northern Territory (RFDS SA/NT) is seeking retrieval doctors to support remote South Australia and the Northern Territory. You will provide remote emergency advice, coordinate primary retrievals and deliver aeromedical emergency care from the Port Augusta base.
Positions involve a 4–7 day rotation, living away from Port Augusta every 4–8 weeks, with Adelaide-based skill maintenance.

RFDS SA/NT retrieval doctors support remote South Australia & Northern Territory by providing remote emergency advice, clinical coordination of primary retrievals & aeromedical emergency care from our Port Augusta base. You may be based/living in Adelaide maintaining your skills in emergency medicine or anaesthesia, with a passion for supporting regional communities part time by driving to Port Augusta once every 4-8 weeks for a 4–7-day rotation as part of a team of highly skilled doctors and flight nurses. You will have a passion for responsive, timely emergency care for our most isolated communities. We believe our people – all of our people – keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying.
Ideally, you will also have experience in remote area medicine, along with a well-developed understanding of rural and remote Australia and the challenges of providing first class healthcare within these environments.
