Job summary

MESHKI in Sydney, Australia seeks a senior finance leader to steer the global financial function as the brand scales. You will partner with the Executive team to shape strategy, develop teams, and drive commercial insights.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax, payroll and ERP (NetSuite), while driving automation and governance across the business. This hands-on role rewards strategic impact, resilience, and a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Senior finance leadership experience in retail or direct-to-consumer brands.
  • Strong knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP/finance systems.
  • Experience managing FX exposure and hedging strategies.
  • Track record building and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Understanding of global tax compliance and payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and board-level insights.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and FX strategies.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Oversee accounting operations, reconciliations, and COA integrity.
  • Manage global tax compliance and the hedging programme.
  • Own the ERP/Finance stack (NetSuite) and drive automation.
  • Oversee payroll management and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor finance team and engage with auditors, banks, and regulators.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for leading MESHKI's financial management function, ensuring stability, compliance, and sound strategic decision-making as the brand continues to scale globally. You'll partner closely with our Executive Leadership team to shape the financial strategies that underpin our growth, while building and mentoring a high-performing finance team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who combines commercial acumen with a genuine passion for developing people and processes - someone who sees financial leadership not just as a function, but as a driver of the brand's broader ambitions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Leading MESHKI's end-to-end financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting
  • Preparing accurate financial reports and board reporting in line with company standards
  • Monitoring cash flow, budgets, and foreign exchange (FX) strategies
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Overseeing accounting operations, reconciliations, and the integrity of the Chart of Accounts
  • Managing global tax compliance and the company's hedging programme
  • Owning the ERP/Finance stack (NetSuite) and driving automation opportunities
  • Overseeing payroll management, ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team to foster a high-performance culture
  • Engaging with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as MESHKI's key financial contact

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING

  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within retail, fashion, or DTC
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite or a comparable ERP/finance system
  • Demonstrated experience managing FX exposure and hedging strategies
  • A track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams
  • Strong understanding of global tax compliance and payroll regulations
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to process improvement and automation
