ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Fashion Designer who will play a critical role in driving the creative vision of the brand. This position requires a highly skilled and visionary individual who can manage the design process, from concept to final product, ensuring our collections align with MESHKI's aesthetic and market trends.

Please ensure your application includes an up to date portfolio including CAD examples.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Design from initial concept to final product, delivering a balanced mix of fashion-forward and commercial pieces across entry through exit price points.
  • Develop mood boards, colour palettes, sketches, and silhouettes that bring cohesive seasonal concepts to life, reflecting MESHKI's premium aesthetic and flattering diverse body shapes.
  • Conduct ongoing trend and market research including store visits, runway, consumer behaviour, and competitor movement. Translating insights into seasonal direction and reactive design opportunities.
  • Own end-to-end product development, creating detailed tech packs and working closely with Garment Tech to ensure designs are accurately translated into final product, on time, on budget, and to MESHKI's quality standards.
  • Lead fittings and make considered adjustments to achieve the right fit, finish, and construction across every style.
  • Select fabrics and materials thoughtfully, balancing quality, cost, suitability, and sustainability - championing preferred fibres and lower-impact alternatives wherever possible.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Merchandising, Garment Tech, and Marketing to ensure designs align with commercial goals, range architecture, and brand direction.
  • Review weekly sell-through data and take accountability for product performance, applying commercial insights to future design decisions.
  • Lead and develop a Design Assistant within your POD - delegating effectively, providing regular feedback, and genuinely investing in their growth and capability.
  • Model a high-performance culture built on accountability, proactive communication, and solution-focused thinking.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software, and other design tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of fashion design, garment construction, and fabric properties.
  • Strong creative vision with the ability to translate trends into commercially successful designs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and fit.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A deep love and passion for fashion, with a strong understanding and appreciation of the MESHKI brand identity and values.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative spirit that contributes to a supportive and inspiring team environment.
