Job summary

Adelaide Hills Council seeks a Senior Leader for Development Services to drive planning, building, development administration and compliance. You will lead a 17‑strong team, including four direct reports, delivering high‑quality customer‑focused services while balancing statutory obligations and strategic priorities.

You will provide expert guidance to the Council and Executive Leadership Team, manage complex development matters, and foster continuous improvement across regulatory services.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
• Level 1 Accredited Professional status as an Assessment Manager.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership of planning, building, development administration and compliance.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of 17 staff with four direct reports.
• Oversee Council Assessment Panel support and provide expert recommendations to leadership.
