Wesfarmers OneDigital is building Australia’s leading data and digital retail ecosystem, backed by AI. The Head of Data Intelligence leads the shared data asset, ensuring high-quality data foundations and governance to fuel commercial decisions and AI-enabled experiences across Wesfarmers.

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you’ll guide strategy, lead a high-performing team and partner across data commercialisation, data science and technology to prioritise investments and scale data-driven

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years' senior experience leading data, analytics or AI functions within a large, complex or data-intensive organisation.
• Enterprise-scale retail data asset or data layer experience (e.g., customer data platform, data mesh, shared data asset).
• Track record translating data into commercial value — personalisation, incrementality or cross-shop analytics in retail/e-commerce/consulting.
• Experience with emerging AI and agentic architectures and data/knowledge foundations.
• Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including leading data teams.
• Deep understanding of advanced analytics, data modelling, ML and generative/agentic AI, data architecture at scale.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen translating data into decision-ready insights.
• Sound understanding of data governance and privacy to build trust in a shared data asset.
• Strong stakeholder management across data commercialisation, data science, technology and divisional teams.

Aufgaben

• Partner with the Chief Data Officer to define strategy, roadmap and investment priorities for data and intelligence.
• Own design, development and evolution of the Shared Data Asset and high-quality data foundations.
• Quantify and demonstrate value from the Shared Data Asset for Wesfarmers' retail businesses and corporate office.
• Build and maintain identity, attributes and audiences for customer understanding and personalisation.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering to ensure cohesive data products and models.
• Shape data intelligence foundations to support AI models and agents across the Group.
• Ensure data and intelligence capabilities are governed, secure and privacy-respecting.
• Build and lead a high-performing team across data integration, analytics and intelligence.
• Extend data/AI capabilities across OneDigital and divisions to improve decision-making.
