Job summary

Wesfarmers OneDigital is building Australia's leading data and digital retail ecosystem, underpinned by AI across loyalty, data, retail media and AI. This role reports to the Chief Data Officer and leads a high-performing team to develop, govern and evolve the Group’s Shared Data Asset and data intelligence foundations.

You’ll partner with data science and engineering leaders to deliver trusted insights, support commercial decision-making and create AI-enabled experiences across Wesfarmers’

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading data or AI functions in large organisations.
• Experience building enterprise data assets across multiple domains.
• Track record turning data into commercial value via personalization or analytics.
• Experience with emerging AI and agentic architectures.
• Proven people-leadership across data analysts and data science teams.
• Strong understanding of data governance and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, roadmap and investment priorities for data capabilities.
• Own design and evolution of the Shared Data Asset.
• Quantify value from data assets for retail and corporate offices.
• Build and maintain identity, attributes and audiences for personalization.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering to ensure coherent data products.
• Lead development of data intelligence foundations to support AI models.
• Ensure governance, security and privacy controls are embedded.
• Build and lead high-performing data teams.
• Improve data quality and AI-enabled decision-making across divisions.
