Job summary

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is seeking an Assistant Director to lead a team and advance its data and AI capabilities. You will shape policy, guidance and communications, and present papers to key decision bodies, while contributing strategic input across data and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading a project team in a fast-paced, large organisation.
• Experience in data/AI governance and/or management.
• Ability to think strategically, research, investigate and analyse complex issues to develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of professionals, role modelling leadership behaviours and coaching.
• Draft data and AI related policies, procedures and guidance material, including communications.
• Draft and present papers to internal decision-making and advisory bodies (Data Strategy Program Board, Data, Information & Security Committee, AI Steering Group, Executive Management Board).
• Provide strategic input into projects related to data and AI across the organisation.
