Job summary

ACCC is seeking an Assistant Director to lead a team and uplift data and AI capability across the agency. You will draft policies, guidance, and communications, and present papers to senior decision-making bodies. Strong leadership, governance experience and strategic thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a project team in a large, complex public sector organisation.
• Experience in data/AI governance and management.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly across forums and with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of professionals, role modelling leadership behaviours and fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Draft data and AI related policies, procedures and guidance material, plus communications (e.g. intranet articles, presentations).
• Draft and present papers to internal decision-making and advisory bodies (Data Strategy Program Board, Data, Information & Security Committee, AI Steering Group and Executive Management Board).
• Provide strategic input into projects involving data and AI across the organisation.
