Job summary

Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) seeks an Assistant Director to lead a team and advance our Data and AI capability. You will contribute to the Data Strategy Program Board and related senior governance groups, shaping policy and guidance across the agency.

In this role you will drive strategic projects, manage governance, and collaborate with multiple directorates to deliver impactful, data-informed outcomes. Salary ranges from AUD 127,908 to AUD 141,555 plus 15.4% super.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading a project team in a large, fast-paced organisation.
• Experience in data governance and/or management is preferred.
• Ability to think strategically, research and analyse complex issues to develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of professionals, role modelling leadership behaviours and developing careers.
• Draft data and AI policies, procedures and guidance material with clear communications.
• Draft and present papers to internal decision-making bodies on data and AI initiatives.
• Provide strategic input into projects related to data and AI.
