Job summary

Western Union is seeking a Manager, Compliance Training to lead the organization’s compliance training framework in Sydney. The role focuses on financial crime compliance, including AML/CTF obligations and AFSL regulatory requirements, and oversees enterprise-wide training programs to support regulatory adherence and risk awareness.

The position partners with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations and business stakeholders to design content, track performance, and continually improve learning

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Compliance Training in regulated environments.
• Experience in Financial Crime Compliance (AML/CTF) and delivering compliance training to employees, agents and third parties.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; professional certification in L&D or ID preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement of compliance training programs focusing on financial crime and AFSL requirements.
• Develop and maintain learning content including e-learning, role-based training, and instructor-led sessions reflecting AML/CTF obligations.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal and Operations to define training needs and ensure content reflects regulatory expectations.
• Establish processes to track training completion, learner engagement, and program effectiveness metrics.
• Build stakeholder relationships to drive adoption and effectiveness of training programs.
• Provide leadership on training initiatives through cross-functional collaboration and program governance.
