Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council in Proserpine is seeking a strategic Manager Capital Program to lead and deliver the Council's Capital Works Program. Reporting to Infrastructure Services, you will guide a team of coordinators, project managers and specialists to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead Council's Capital Program Delivery Branch and Capital Works Program.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to Project Managers and delivery teams.
• Drive project governance, assurance, risk management and continuous improvement across the capital portfolio.
• Oversee program scheduling, performance reporting, forecasting and financial management.
• Maintain and enhance Council's Project Management Framework.
• Build strong relationships with Councillors, Executive Leadership Team, Service Managers, consultants, contractors and government agencies.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with Council's strategic objectives and community expectations.
