Job summary

Townsville City Council is seeking experienced project professionals to join the Capital Delivery team. You will provide planning, coordination and project-control support across the full lifecycle of capital projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with governance requirements.

The role involves reporting to governance bodies, managing risks and providing leadership across project managers within Infrastructure and Operations / Capital Delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualifications in project management or equivalent.
• Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD) mandatory.
• Capacity to obtain CPPM (Australian Institute of Project Management).
• Substantial experience in project management across the planning and delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, coordination and project control across the full project lifecycle.
• Support application of Council’s project management framework and governance requirements.
• Manage risks, change and opportunities; prepare reports for Council and governance bodies.
• Provide technical advice and leadership to project managers within the division.
