Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or production engineering.
• 6+ years in an engineering division with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence experience.
• Excellent social skills to mentor and lead staff.
• Strong financial and commercial manufacturing competence.
• Hands-on technical problem solver by nature.
• Industrial Engineering studies or similar field preferred.
• Experience in a matrixed, globally distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing manufacturing engineering team of engineers and production staff.
• Establish metrics to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Collaborate with manufacturing ops, design, and development to meet strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and repair centre procedures.
• Support NPI projects to deliver on time and budget.
• Coordinate plant maintenance program.
• Promote safety culture across the site.
• Address quality and development issues via Engineering Change Requests.
• Manage new product activities ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Provide Sydney-based team leadership and remote support to Barcelona site.
