Job summary

Hunter Douglas Australia is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to oversee Sydney manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. Based at Rydalmere, you will lead teams, improve performance and drive safety across operations, reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, APAC.

You will guide production planning, cost control, and quality, while developing people and implementing modern manufacturing techniques. A hands-on, strategic leader with 10+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing management or equivalent operational leadership experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma or comparable continuous improvement methods.
• Sound financial and commercial judgement.
• Hands-on, empathetic leadership with change-management ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing, warehousing and distribution performance.
• Set production schedules based on demand, capacity and stock levels.
• Manage budgets, labour costs, quality and delivery KPIs.
• Identify barriers and implement practical improvements.
• Oversee safety programs and WHS compliance.
• Develop and coach operational employees and leaders.
• Collaborate with maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
