Job summary

Toll Group in Bankstown, NSW, is seeking an experienced Head of ACE to lead the Aeromedical Crewing Excellence Training Centre. You will oversee training operations, facilities, compliance, and commercial performance, shaping the future of aviation training and safety across a multidisciplinary team.

Reporting to the Vice President rotary wing, you will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of accountability, and build strong client and regulator relationships while enabling business

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Aviation or related discipline.
• Post‑graduate qualifications in Aviation or Training Management are highly regarded.
• Significant leadership experience in aviation and training environments.
• Experience managing people, assets and training functions.
• Current Australian Driver Licence and ability to meet aviation security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the ACE Training Centre, including facilities, training operations, administration and resources.
• Drive operational excellence across pilot, aircrew, medical, maintenance and simulation training programs.
• Develop and inspire high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and safety.
• Ensure compliance with aviation, RTO and regulatory requirements, including CASA and ASQA standards.
• Identify commercial opportunities and support business growth through client engagement and third-party training services.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional training outcomes.

A Day in the Life of a Head of ACE at Toll Group

• Lead all aspects of the ACE Training Centre, including facilities, training operations, administration and resources.
• Drive operational excellence across pilot, aircrew, medical, maintenance and simulation training programs.
• Develop and inspire high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and safety.
• Ensure compliance with aviation, RTO and regulatory requirements, including CASA and ASQA standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Aviation or a related discipline.
• Post‑graduate qualifications in Aviation, Training Management or a related field highly regarded.
• Significant leadership experience within aviation and training environments.
• Strong experience managing people, operational assets and training functions.
• Cert IV Training and Assessment, or the ability to obtain, is desirable.
• Current Australian Driver Licence and ability to meet aviation security requirements.

• Extensive experience leading complex, multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development, sales or revenue growth initiatives.
• Proven capability in stakeholder management across executive, client and regulatory environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
