Job summary

Toll Aviation, part of Toll Group, seeks an experienced Head of ACE (Aeromedical Crewing Excellence Training Centre) to lead the Bankstown ACE facility. This strategic role reports to the VP Rotary Wing and oversees training operations, facilities, compliance, and people leadership across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Aviation or a related discipline.
• Post-graduate qualifications in Aviation, Training Management or a related field highly regarded.
• Significant leadership experience within aviation and training environments.
• Current Australian Driver Licence and ability to meet aviation security requirements.

• Lead all aspects of the ACE Training Centre, including facilities, training operations, administration and resources.
• Drive operational excellence across pilot, aircrew, medical, maintenance and simulation training programs.
• Develop and inspire high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and safety.
• Ensure compliance with aviation, RTO and regulatory requirements, including CASA and ASQA standards.
• Identify commercial opportunities and support business growth through client engagement and third-party training services.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional training outcomes.

Reporting to the Vice President Rotary Wing, this strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing all training operations, facilities, compliance, commercial performance and people leadership across a diverse multidisciplinary team. A Day in the Life of a Head of ACE at Toll Group

• Lead all aspects of the ACE Training Centre, including facilities, training operations, administration and resources.
• Drive operational excellence across pilot, aircrew, medical, maintenance and simulation training programs.
• Develop and inspire high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and safety.
• Ensure compliance with aviation, RTO and regulatory requirements, including CASA and ASQA standards.

• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional training outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Aviation or a related discipline.
• Post-graduate qualifications in Aviation, Training Management or a related field highly regarded.
• Significant leadership experience within aviation and training environments.
• Strong experience managing people, operational assets and training functions.
• Cert IV Training and Assessment, or the ability to obtain, is desirable.
• Current Australian Driver Licence and ability to meet aviation security requirements.

• Extensive experience leading complex, multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development, sales or revenue growth initiatives.
• Proven capability in stakeholder management across executive, client and regulatory environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
• Exceptional communication, coaching, negotiation and change leadership skills.
• Strong commitment to safety leadership, risk management and people development.
