The Manager Academic Skills is a senior leadership role within the University Library, responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for Academic Skills services across the University.

Leading a team of learning development professionals, the role drives initiatives that enhance students' academic literacies, learning capabilities and success, and develops strategic partnerships to align with the university's priorities for learning, teaching and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications and/or significant experience in academic skills, learning development, higher education or related field.
• Strong people leadership skills and experience fostering a high-performing team culture.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Well-developed analytical, planning and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to lead change, balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Confidence to advocate for services and influence decision-making across the University.
