Job summary

AeroVision Solutions in Adelaide is seeking a Chief Maintenance Controller for our growing drone operations, managing a fleet ranging from 7kg to 150kg.

You will lead maintenance, hardware and software mods, field deployments, and ensure airworthiness under CASA Part 101 MOS, while training field crews and refining SOPs.

This role blends hands-on soldering, scripting, CAD work, and systems integration, with opportunity for growth and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years professional drone experience.
• Strong Python and C/C++ skills.
• Proficient with DJI systems and custom platforms.
• Hands-on hardware soldering and CAD/3D printing skills.

Responsibilities

• Contract customization: modify hardware and software to meet client requirements.
• Fleet health and diagnosis: monitor telemetry and predict failures.
• Payload integration: interface third-party sensors and drop mechanisms.
• Field deployments and testing: validate mods in real-world conditions.
• Maintain airworthiness and CASA Part 101 MOS duties.
• Set maintenance SOPs and manage spares and consumables.
• Train field crews in basic maintenance.
