Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a Head Chef to lead the Tingira Hills Care Community kitchen in Mount Hutton. You will oversee food preparation, design seasonal menus, and ensure nutritious meals while meeting food safety and aged care standards.

You will manage a hospitality team, maintain budgets, and create a dining experience that enhances residents' quality of life with a Monday–Friday roster and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification.
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a leadership role.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• A passion for culinary excellence and a genuine desire to make a difference in aged care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills.

• Lead, mentor, and inspire our kitchen team to deliver nutritious and delicious meals every day.
• Design creative, seasonal menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents.
