Job summary

Lewis Leisure Pty Limited, operating The Fiddler Hotel in the Hills district of Sydney, is seeking an energetic Head Chef to drive culinary excellence. The role reports to the Executive Chef and focuses on superior food quality, presentation and taste.

The ideal candidate will lead and coach a diverse team, design and execute menus, and oversee mid-to-large in-house events while collaborating with senior management to align kitchen operations with venue goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a diverse kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to design and execute menus with flair and consistency.
• Proven track record in training and developing culinary talent.

Welcome to The Fiddler Hotel, one of Sydney's premier hospitality venues in The Hills. Known as the ‘Home of Celebrations’, we pride ourselves in our philosophy of delivering great, friendly service for all guests who dine and celebrate with us.

Currently seeking an energetic, passionate and experienced Head Chef who thrives on achieving superior food quality, presentation and taste. This role will report to the Executive Chef.

Our ideal candidate will have flair, creativity and a genuine love for food, with demonstrated experience.

Head Chef preferred with experience in a similar fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Experienced in menu design, creation and execution

Keen eye for food trends and creative in plating

Experienced in overseeing mid-large in-house functions

Ability to lead and coach a diverse team of chefs and cooks

Experience managing financial budgets including food and labour costs

Wiling to collaborate with senior venue management to align kitchen operations with overall venue goals and strategic direction

Experience with wood-fired pizza is highly desired

Must have own transport
