The Fiddler Hotel in The Hills, Sydney, is seeking an energetic Head Chef to lead our busy kitchen, delivering superior food quality, presentation and taste. You will report to the Executive Chef and drive menu design, creativity and execution.

We value flair, strong leadership and a passion for hospitality. The role involves overseeing mid-large in-house functions, managing food and labour costs, and collaborating with venue management to align kitchen operations with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef in fast-paced, high-volume venues.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Proven track record in menu design, costing and execution.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coach a diverse kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Design, test and implement menus with a focus on presentation and flavour.
• Oversee kitchen operations during service and events, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

Currently seeking an energetic, passionate and experienced Head Chef who thrives on achieving superior food quality, presentation and taste. This role will report to the Executive Chef.

Our ideal candidate will have flair, creativity and a genuine love for food, with demonstrated experience.

• Head Chef preferred with experience in a similar fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Experienced in menu design, creation and execution

• Keen eye for food trends and creative in plating

• Experienced in overseeing mid-large in-house functions

• Ability to lead and coach a diverse team of chefs and cooks

• Experience managing financial budgets including food and labour costs

• Wiling to collaborate with senior venue management to align kitchen operations with overall venue goals and strategic direction

• Experience with wood-fired pizza is highly desired

• Must have own transport
