Job summary

Bar Beach Bowling and Sporting Club – Merewether NSW is seeking a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef to lead the kitchen and drive a fresh, innovative menu featuring premium ingredients and pub classics.

You will manage a dynamic kitchen team, ensure top-tier food quality, and maintain efficient operations across high-volume catering and events. Availability for peak season is essential, with Wednesday-Sunday trading and no late nights.

Qualifications

Experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality venue.
Strong leadership and team management skills including staff training.
Ability to manage stock, costing, and kitchen operations efficiently.
Commitment to maintaining high standards in both food quality and presentation.
Experience with high volume function catering.
Experience with rostering and wage costs.
Experience writing menus.
Strong focus on WHS practices within the kitchen.
Must be available to work peak season.
Bistro currently trades Wednesday-Sunday, no late nights!
